Welcome

to to the Ivy Street Family Centre Capital Campaign - transforming an old Hackney pub into a family centre to serve our community and bring hope to the inner city

Our Dream

to transform an old pub in Hoxton, Hackney into an all-age Family Centre serving our inner city community by providing a 21st century building which will:

  • address the very high level of child poverty in the area and provide greater play space by offering:
  • under 5s drop-ins;
  • drop-ins for teenage mothers and their children;
  • drop-ins for grandparent carers and their grandchildren;
  • after-school and holiday activity clubs for children of all ages;
  • provide inter-generational sessions for local people of all ages to mix;
  • offer mentoring for local young people;
  • offer debt advice;
  • provide opportunities for volunteer training;
  • provide a venue for youth groups and space for Hoxton Vineyard Church

Ivy Street Centre - CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

The architect's sketch to the left shows the new building wrapping round the old 'pub front' which is to be retained to comply with conservation requirements.

The main downstairs meeting room will have a capacity of 50-60 people and be capable of sub-division into two smaller rooms; on the 1st floor there will be a further meeting room (leading onto a balcony) and 2 offices.
